Ch. 1 Daily Story: Hijikata

Isami Kondou: "...Wow. You can already tell it's summer. This season certainly feels wonderful. Soon enough, everyone will find their own paths in their student life for the new school yearー returning students and newcomers alike. Yes... It's a privilege to witness these students grow, as their principal."
Toshizou Hijikata: "Finally found you, Kondou-san. So this is where you were."
Isami Kondou: "Oh, if it isn't Toshi. What's wrong? Why the long face?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "Don't 'what's wrong' me. Did you get those summer facility usage documents stamped? There's no problem with taking a break, but with such little work left, you oughta finish everything up before you take a break."
Isami Kondou: "Oh, I'm sorry. I'll hurry back, then. ...Though, Toshi, maybe I don’t have the right to talk, but why don't you take a break, yourself?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "I'm just a bit busy today. Sorry to worry you, but I don't have time to rest."
Isami Kondou: "But still... If you keep frowning like this, students will be too scared to approach you."
Toshizou Hijikata: "That’s just how I like it. This way, I can strike a good balance beside you, our friendly, smiling school principal."
Isami Kondou: "Hm... You think so?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "Yeah, I know so. ...Besides, I don't make a face like this around the clock because I like to. It's 'cause of all the troublemakers I gotta deal with. If the students were more like that kid, I wouldn't need to work so hard..."
Isami Kondou: "That kid... meaning Yukimura-kun?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "Y-Yeah..."
Isami Kondou: "Hmm. She's really sincere at heart, and has put a great effort into fitting in at school. At first, I was worried that trouble might dog her, with her being the only female student… But she seems to have adapted well."
Toshizou Hijikata: "I suppose. That being said, she does get herself worked up often enough… We have to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't get into any trouble."
Isami Kondou: "Yes. Let's look after her growth together!"
Toshizou Hijikata: "...No, let’s look after all the students, not just her, alright?"
