Toshizou Hijikata: "Hey, Saitou. Can I borrow you for a moment?"
Hajime Saitou: "Yes, Hijikata-sensei. Do you need something of me?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "No, it's just about the poolside bar earlier. It looked like you knocked a man down there. Don't go too far, fighting outside of school. Just watching you made me anxious."
Hajime Saitou: "...You saw that, then. I'm sorry."
Toshizou Hijikata: "Oh, don't get the wrong idea. I'm not blaming you or anything. That guy was in the wrong, and there was no other way, really. I would've done the same if I were you."
Hajime Saitou: "I see..."
Toshizou Hijikata: "It's just that it seemed a bit out of character."
Hajime Saitou: "Out of character in what way?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "You're usually calm and composed. I didn't think you'd make a scene out in the open like that. Just what brought this on all of a sudden? Did something happen to give you a change of heart?"
Hajime Saitou: "...No, my body just moved on its own."
Toshizou Hijikata: "...Well, you’ll probably set guys like that right back on the straight and narrow, so I don't really mind. Though, it makes me wonder if you’d’ve stopped there if it’d been Yukimura in that woman’s place, huh."
Hajime Saitou: "Wha...?"
Toshizou Hijikata: "Well, I'm going to relax over there, so you go on and enjoy yourself a bit longer. I’m sure the others are waiting for you."
Hajime Saitou: "......I don't understand... Is it really alright for Hijikata-sensei not to punish me for that...? ...Hmm. I'll set that aside for now."
